Tacoma Power Squadron Public Boating Courses

Satisfy Washington State legislation for boating safety education classes.  The courses include Seamanship and boat handling, rules of the road, required equipment, lines and knots, charts and aids to navigation, boat trailering, and much more.  The Tacoma Power Squadron is a member of United States Power Squadrons, a nationwide organization, who’s primary goal is to promote and foster safe boating practices for boaters of all ages.  We look forward to seeing you at one of our classes: Class 1 - Geared toward young people and families (high school age, and their parents, too!) 5 sessions: 2/24, 3/1, 3/3, 3/8, 3/15, 5:00 – 7:00 pm, place to be determined (tentatively Puyallup), Class 2 – Come one and all! 5 sessions: 4/5, 4/7, 4/12, 4/14, 4/19, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, West Marine Store, Fife. Cost: $35 ($20 for each family member sharing your materials). Participants receive free 6-month membership in Tacoma Power Squadron.
